How Movetec utilize graphene printing to enhance the function of textile ?
Movetec is a professional outdoor and sportswear manufacture. Using a polyester and wool blend as substrate fabric, Movetec introduces a graphene printing layer on the skin-side of the fabric, which provides high thermal conductivity to achieve the thermal balance between the skin, fabric and environment, and further achieves the function of thermoregulation.
Why Movetec introduced UC’s graphene - GreenPhene™ ?
Since two Russian scientist had been awarded Nobel prize, the fundamental research and commercial application of graphene has been proposed, and many of graphene companies in the world has involved into the development for graphene mass production. Most of them still utilize the traditional way for production such as acid oxidation or liquid exfoliation process, and that leads an excessive heavy metal or toxic solvent residue inside the graphene materials. That is why these kind graphene materials would not be appropriate to utilize into the textile industry pursuing environment protection and safe use.
Starting with the highly purified graphite (electronic grade) as the raw materials, UC Bacon develope a complete dry process, called direct continuous phsical technology, to produce the graphene. No acid, alkali solution, organic solvent or harmful chemical will be used in the process. The inspection report of heavy metal residue from SGS (Test standard: EN71-3:1994+A1:2000/AC:2002) proved non detection for the common eight heavy metal residue in UC Bacon's graphene powders, and this results are fullfill the highest standard for the raw material in textile industry.
In addition, their fluffy morphology and huge difference on surface characteristics results in a poor dispersion inside the resin matrix. After years research and development, UC finally find a way to provide a highly concentrated, stably suspended, and well rheologic concentrated graphene suspension - UniPerse™. The UniPerse™ products could not only provide 20wt% on solid content, but also a well distribution on laternal size and thickness in suspension because of UC’s unique dispersion technique. That is why UC’s graphene suspension could have a good heat dispassion and maintain the adhesion for the further requirement for washing test.
